Pyrolusite in compliance with the EN 13752 standard “Products for treatment of water intended for human consumption – Manganese dioxide.”

PURPOSE AND USE
Pyrolusite is a highly selected natural mineral, free from additives and impurities, used as a catalyst in the oxidation of iron and manganese. The material is employed in mixed-pressure or gravity filters, typically mixed from 20% to 50% in volume with sand of appropriate granularity (around 0.5-1.0 / 0.7-1.2 mm). This mixture is used for the removal of iron and manganese from water through catalytic oxidation.
