Ferrofos® 8446 is a liquid based on organic phosphonates, polycarboxylic dispersants and azoles which give the product a high anti-scaling, dispersing and anti-corrosive power towards copper alloy materials. The product is also suitable for waters rich in suspended solids. Ferrofros® 8446 prevents the formation of encrusting deposits by distorting the crystalline lattice (Threshold effect). Beyond the stabilization limits, the formation of a non-encrusting amorphous precipitate occurs which is easily dispersed with normal purging operations. The product has an anti-corrosive effect on copper by forming a protective film.
