PURPOSE AND USE Carbosorb 830 is a high-quality granular activated carbon produced through the physical activation of selected mineral-origin raw materials. Thanks to its mesoporosity, Carbosorb 830 is particularly effective in removing organic contaminants such as pesticides, chlorinated and aromatic solvents, oils, coloring agents, phenols, tannins, and odoriferous compounds. It is also used for removing humic acids (precursors of trihalomethanes) from surface waters. It can be employed for the removal of chlorine, ozone, hydrogen peroxide, permanganate, and other oxidants. Carbosorb 830 is used in various applications, including the production of drinking water, process water, condensate purification, and wastewater treatment.
